The world premiere of a hilarious new comedy by the award-winning writer of the BBC's "Pulling Moves", Pearse Elliott. Rawlife Theatre Company and the Grand Opera House unite to bring one of this year's funniest comedies to the Féile an Phobail 2011.
Although Pearse has forged an impressive reputation writing for international stars such as Robert Carlyle and Gillian Anderson, he has always remained true to his Belfast roots and no more so than in this slice of local humour in all its blackness and unique Belfast wit.
From the director of Féile 2010's "The Black North", John Paul McSharry and starring Ciaran Nolan and Ivan Little, this is a tale of two estranged Belfast brothers who reunite to celebrate the christening of their youngest brother's son. During the subsequent reception in the local pub, the 'wisdom of the bar' gives rise to banter about gay bars, plots in Milltown, feminism, foxes and even Viagra.
But as the night progresses, both brothers struggle to deal with a shared past that has driven them in opposite directions. This authentic snapshot of life in West Belfast in 2011 will have you laughing, it may even have you crying, but it will definitely have you entertained!
